Love Sonnet for My Phone

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou art more bright and far more battery-draining.

Rough winds do shake the signal on the way,

And carrier outages leave me complaining.

Sometimes too hot the screen burns to the touch,

And often is the notification cleared;

And every app I've downloaded too much

By chance, or planned obsolescence, disappeared.

But thy eternal scroll shall not fade;

Nor lose possession of that fair FYP;

Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,

When in eternal updates thou dost sleep.

So long as eyes can see and thumbs can swipe,

So long lives this, and this gives life to hype.
