Sonnet: Time

When minutes pass like water down the drain,

and hours blur into a formless stream,

I pause to sit and ease the daily strain,

and drift into a quiet, peaceful dream.

The world outside can wait a little more,

its demands held back beyond the door,

while here within this sanctuary's core,

I find the peace I've been searching for.

No rush, no race, no need to hurry on,

just me and silence till the moment's gone—

this sacred space where I can find my way,

and breathe before I face another day.
