O noble ring of broken hope, you spin and spin but never cope with loading what I need to see.

There it sits upon its throne, that cardboard tube, alone, alone, an empty promise, silent shame.

O empty cardboard cylinder, husk of a thousand promises, you hang there on the silver spindle like a tiny monument to someone else's indifference.

O mighty Reply-All, / wreaker of inboxes, / killer of productivity

O blessed interval! O nine pressed again!

Before the world begins its noise, before the inbox floods...
